Seeking Sponsors for OSSO!

Dear Sponsor,

We are trying to raise money to go to Ecuador to work at an Orphanage for 2 ½ months. We are currently working full time and will be taking off a semester of school to be able to participate in this service opportunity. We are desperately seeking funds to help pay for this trip. Without help, we might not be able to give of our time to the children in Ecuador. Any size donation will be greatly appreciated. We have set up a blog for each of us for our sponsors to look at for updates and information about how we are doing while serving in the orphanages in Ecuador. Below is a basic outline of what we will be doing and what organization we are going with.

Orphanage Support Services Organization (OSSO) is a nonprofit organization, providing service to 10-12 orphanages in Cuenca and Quito, Ecuador. OSSO sends volunteers to Cuenca and Quito to work with orphaned and abandoned children. Volunteers do everything from basic child care (such as changing diapers and feeding babies) to doing preschool activities and physical therapy. Most volunteers are college-age students who take a semester away from their studies to give service. Volunteers work very hard under very challenging conditions, and unless they’re able to find sponsors, they pay all of their own expenses. I'll be going for 2 ½ months and the total cost for me is $4,000.00.

Thank You,

Katie Seamons
