Today, one of the therapists named Marta, asked that we bring ingredients for sugar cookies for Casas. So last night I measured out all of the ingredients and put them in little baggies to prepare for today. I then proceeded to make a frosting out of vanilla, milk, and powdered sugar.
Then today for Valentines day the kids were able to go into the commedor and help mix up the cookies and roll the dough out and use cookie cutters that were shaped of hearts and flowers. The kids LOVED it. It was their activity for Valentines Day. They were so excited to be able to eat the dough and feel important because they were helping the grown ups.
Marta loved the frosting. And so did the kids and other Therapists.
